Thanksgiving & Sunday Worship Information
Use the following scripture to prepare for Thanksgiving worship:
SUNDAY, November 30th . Longing for more. As we enter the season of Advent, we prepare ourselves for the arrival of the Savior of the world. We long for Christmas. As his followers we keep Jesus and his coming to earth that first Christmas at the heart of our celebrations. Jesus came to make things right, to heal what was broken. Jesus came to save and make us heirs to the riches of God’s kingdom. Yet we still wait and still struggle because the work of Christmas will be finished at his return. As we long, we look to the words of Jesus from Matthew 24 as he reminds us that we must “be ready.”
