Youth Connection Groups
The youth ministries of St. Luke’s create an environment where students realize they belong to a God Who designed them, knows them, passionately loves them, and redeems them. By connecting their spiritual and social lives, pre-teens and teenagers are equipped to stand strong in their relationships, confront struggles with confidence, and transform their lives through faith. St. Luke’s recognizes that the needs of pre-teens and teenagers are diverse. To cover the full spectrum of developmental needs, three youth groups exist.

5th and 6th grade: LOL
Typically, the monthly gatherings meet in the gym on Friday nights from 7 to 9 pm and consist of three things: devotional time, relationship-building fun, and refreshments. This ministry nurtures students’ faith and encourages the development of a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is for students to be aware of their identity as a redeemed Child of God and equip them to fully participate in the life of the community of faith.

7th and 8th grade: JAM
A typical gathering incorporates three things: Bible study, fellowship, and small groups. This ministry builds peer relationships and motivates students to develop their life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We also utilize adult mentors to connect students with safe adults to help point them to Christ during these tough transitional years. Our goal is for students to be aware of their identity as a redeemed Child of God and be equipped to fully participate in the life of the community of faith.

HSY (High School Youth) activities are for students in grades 9-12. This time is a consistent weekly opportunity for high school students to gather on Sundays from 6-8 pm in the Youth Room. A typical gathering incorporates three things: Bible study, fellowship, and small groups. Our goal is for students to focus on their relationship with Christ, deepen their Christian friendships and put feet to their faith. Our desire is to acknowledge, amplify and celebrate students’ God-given identity as they grow to become responsible college students and adults.
