A note from Christian Help:
Thank you St. Luke’s Lutheran Church & School for your “birthday bags”!  Help us thank St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, who is a Church Partner, for having 1 of their Bible study groups prepare these “birthday bags”! These lovely ladies have put together 50 bags for the children of our clients to have a birthday party! The boxes include cake, candles, and other goodies so that these children and parents can celebrate without worrying about the cost. Thank you so much!

Organized by Sue O. with help from the Tuesday morning BELOVED Catalyst group and a Thrivent Action Grant, this group worked together to share the love of Christ. It’s amazing how many gently used gift bags can be collected along with tissue paper. The bags contained a cake, candles, other goodies and a Jesus Bible Story booklet. We wish we could see the looks on the faces of the recipients when they get these!

The manager, Mark, explained the programs of Christian Help and volunteer opportunities.  Welton gave us a tour and we heard how Christian Help has been partnering with St. Luke’s for the new Goods and Grace grocery store. We didn’t know they also run  the Redeemed Thrift Store at 953 SR 426 in Casselberry!

It was a very worthwhile day and we enjoyed this project. Thanks so much to Sue who brought us the idea, Vicky B who researched cake mixes and Peggy for hosting the Catalyst group.  We are planning to do more bags when the supply is low so if you would like to help out, please email smopie15@gmail.com
