The Westfield House Servant Event was another huge success this year. The 10-member team worked hard to accomplish the requested jobs. This year the team refinished the church pews at Resurrection Lutheran Church. They had to sand, stain and polish for hours followed by the cleanup of the sanctuary. We cleaned refrigerators, ovens, cabinets, carpets and the washer and dryer units. Of course, we painted some dorm rooms, bike room, hallways, and laundry room which are annual jobs as well as pressure washing and general cleaning. Even with all the fix-up jobs, the team found time to go punting on the Cam, visit a quaint town and monastery and have a fun afternoon at a local winery. We packed so much in our week long event! Our biggest delight was to influence the friends and neighbors of the Westfield House and invite them to be a part of our Christian community.
