School Funding
We are grateful that the Lord keeps sending us faithful donors like you that have helped lift up St. Luke’s Lutheran School for more than 75 years! Below are several methods for making a gift that will ensure more children will receive a Christ-centered education.
Our Adopt-a-Student (AAS) Scholarship Program helps deserving students with much needed financial support. Students are able to experience a St. Luke’s Christ-centered education because of your gifts.
Our giving program consists of two areas: Immediate need during the coming semester and gifts in perpetuity through our AAS Endowment Fund.
You can make an immediate impact with a gift today.
The Adopt-a-Student Endowment (AASE) was created to supply funding that will grow with time and investment. Once the endowment fund reaches a minimum level, we will be able to draw off dividends to be used – in perpetuity – to help deserving students with financial aid. That minimum is fast approaching thanks to generous donors. Please contact (email to: development@sllcs.org) our Development Office for more information or call 407-365-3408.
The goal of this Endowment is to fund every student request each year in perpetuity and eliminate the need for year-over-year fundraising. To do so will require this fund to reach $5,000,000. It is currently at more than $1.2 million.
How It’s Funded: Five percent of every gift given to the operational AAS fund is broken off and placed in the Endowment fund so it will grow. Gifts can be made directly to the Endowment fund as well. Gifts of cash, appreciable assets and estate gifts are the most common. If you’d like to learn more about how to give these gifts, please contact our Development Director.
The St. Luke’s Adopt a Student fund exists to support families and children who are unable to afford the eternal life changing benefits offered by a St. Luke’s education. By supporting this fund, you are transforming lives and bringing more children to hear the saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ. The only thing missing for students to be successful is your generous support.
St. Luke’s Lutheran School Believe in Opportunity Fund is our school’s Annual Fund. Each year we prayerfully discern the Lord’s will for upcoming financial needs. All funds raised are designated to support our students. In recent years, gifts have funded in-class student laptops, our music program, and the school operating fund. Click here to give now.
The Sharon Coe Fund for Literacy Education was created to continue Sharon’s tireless efforts to bless children and enrich their lives through literacy education. Sharon, a life-long learner, loved to pour her passion for literature into the children God brought into her life. A selfless champion for the betterment of children, it is often quoted of Sharon that she was the type of person who would look into a mirror and see others.
She taught 4th and 3rd grade at St. Luke’s Lutheran School with excellence and with an eye out for the heart of a child. She would create special learning adventures, especially in Science and Social Studies. She was able to minister to her families and always shared her love for music and reading.
This is an annual golf tournament for fun and fellowship to help memorialize the life of Shawn J. Metcalf, an alumni of St. Luke’s. Proceeds from the Golf Tournament provide financial assistance to help families who have a demonstrated need to attend St. Luke’s Lutheran School. For additional information, see sllcs.org/golf4kids
